Global Credit & Collections is a collection agency. We have not heard alot about them until May 2009. This agency seems to specialize in Capital One junk debt.
This company received “Rookie of the Year” award from Capital One in 2007. So does that mean that Global collects FOR Capital One? Sounds strange. They are located in NY.

We do not have alot to report about the business of Global Credit & Collections. When you receive a letter from them, always send a VOD letter to them, certified and return receipt AND mail to the New York office.

I am very P’D with your company – Global Credit & Collections. I made arrangements w/ Ms. Natasha James to pay half of my bill. She asked for my banking account info;which I gave reluctantlyand that by providing it that would show Capital One that I’m making a honest effort at making payment of my bill.
I do not deny that I owed Capital One money; I understand I put myself in this place to begin with. However Ms James and your company have stolen from me and my husband.
I made arrangements to pay half of my bill, arrangements to make monthly payments of $100 until my bill was settled. I got a call from Ms James on 3/10/10 reminding me of our agreement. She said she’d be taking the amount we agreed upon from my checking account on 3/11/10.
I DID NOT AGREE TO THAT!!! I told her that I did not want money taken from my checking account, I would send a cashier’s check for the amount as I do not send checks for large amounts without guaranteeing the money being available. I called her on the morning of 3/11/10 stating a certified check was being sent to her that day. She still took money from our account, no she/your company STOLE MONEY from us. On 3/11/10 your company stole our money!!
Now I have no money to pay my other bills because you stole from us.

We are not the company “Global Credit & Collections”. We challenge them in their collection efforts. NEVER NEVER NEVER give banking info to any collection agency.

Global Credit and Collections is a very rude and ruthless company. Their representatives do not talk civily to people. THEY ARE VERY RUDE and hang up if you don’t give them the answers they want. I could go on and on but avoid dealing with them if you can.

Thanks for your comment. DO NOT TALK to ANY collection agency. Everything should be in writing.
Have you resolved this with GCC? DO NOT PAY them either.

I have received several calls from these guys for several days now…
When I called back to find out what these guys wanted,
I was told that I had an old credit card bill that I never paid.
When I looked into it, it turns out that they were right (oops!).
I was able to settle my account for half the amount owing.

Do you have a valid phone number and a fax number for these scam artists at Global? I really need a fax number and the only number I have is the 866 915 5209 they call from. They keep giving out fake fax numbers. I found a fax number on the internet of 866 568 1690 or 716 878 2842 but since they keep giving out fake numbers and changing the real ones (because that is what scam artists and thieves do) I cannot seem to locate a valid one. Can you help me?

Thanks for your comment. No sorry we do not have any CAs phone numbers or fax numbers. You should NOT be calling or faxing them!!! Your comment does not explain your situation as to why you are contacting them. Do not pay Global!!!

I have been contaced by them in regards to some small amount of taxes I owe. They insist I pay over the phone (giving the my credit card number). when I say I prefer to pay it via check she responsed: It takes too much time, it is better to make paymnet over the phone. I requested a letter from them first, till now they did not send any mail to me. What should I do? Thanks.

No do not pay any collector for taxes.
